Our mission and vision

Nesto is a Belgian network of veterinary practices, centres, and clinics dedicated to delivering professional service to both clients and patients. At the same time, it offers a stimulating working environment for our veterinarians, veterinary nurses, and all other colleagues.

Within our network, training, high quality care, and a client focused approach are therefore of great importance. In other words, you can count on a valuable and professional experience with us, with the opportunity to grow and keep developing yourself continuously.

The best care for our patients and their owners

"At Nesto, everything revolves around caring for our patients and their owners, combined with innovation and professional expertise. Working in veterinary medicine demands a lot: lifelong learning, dealing with difficult situations, and making the right choices time and again in the interest of the animal. Together we keep growing, as professionals, as a team, and as a network."

Johan Van Ommen | Medical Director Nesto

Career path for veterinarians

After the six year Veterinary Medicine programme, you are officially a veterinarian. You once again face a range of choices. To help you on your way, we are happy to provide extra information so you can make your decision more easily. This way you find a career path tailored to you.

Not tired of studying yet? Or are you curious about what else there is to learn within veterinary medicine? Then you can deepen your knowledge and specialise in different fields. This can be done through specific programmes or through specific internships. Within the Nesto network, we offer various options for this. At Dierenkliniek Orion, for example, we provide a rotating and surgical internship. This small animal veterinary clinic is also recognised as an ECVS training centre. In addition, at the equine clinics Het Bokt, Equins Vétérinaires de Septon, and DAP Aan De Watergang, you can also take part in an equine internship. In short, there is something for every ambition.

Are you ready to truly stand on your own two feet? Is simply being a veterinarian not enough? Then you might be the perfect fit for Practice Manager. At Nesto, we are happy to give ambitious veterinarians a low threshold entry point (without a large amount of personal investment) and the chance to take charge of their own practice.

Not sure what suits you? Our HR team is happy to help you find your path.

Career path for veterinary nurses
